WHY HOSPITALITY MURALS WORK
A strong hospitality mural is more than decoration. It’s a business asset.
Murals can help your business:
-
Differentiate in crowded neighborhoods and restaurant rows
-
Create an Instagrammable anchor that guests share organically
-
Reinforce brand identity (logo, typography, story, cultural cues)
-
Increase dwell time and elevate the vibe guests remember
-
Add visual cohesion across bar, dining room, entry, patio, hallway, or back bar moments
Hospitality is experiential—your walls are part of the product.

ATMOSPHERE DEVELOPMENT BEYOND MURALS

Sculptural spatial design concept renduring featuring furninture selection and sculptural suspended finishes
In hospitality environments, artwork is never isolated. It interacts with lighting, seating layout, bar placement, circulation flow, signage, and brand tone. A successful mural must live inside the space — not compete with it.
At Headlamp Creative Group, we approach restaurant and hospitality projects as spatial systems. Before paint touches the wall, we consider how guests move through the room, where natural focal points occur, how photography angles form, and how the artwork supports the overall atmosphere of the concept.
When a project calls for it, our scope can extend beyond wall painting into spatial design collaboration and custom fabrication. This may include dimensional signage integration, sculptural elements, layered surfaces, branded installations, or physical features that reinforce identity across multiple touchpoints.
For hospitality operators building long-term brand equity — whether an independent concept or a growing multi-location group — the goal is cohesion. Not just a mural, but a unified visual experience that strengthens brand recognition, enhances guest engagement, and elevates the environment as a whole.
SELECT HOSPITALITY PROJECTS
Below are examples of hospitality projects we’ve executed across Chicago and surrounding areas. Some include full story pages; others are featured here as highlights.
Go Brewing - Taproom, Corporate, & Brand Activations
Go Brewing, located in Naperville, IL, represents what long-term creative partnerships look like in hospitality.
We designed and installed a series of bold, graffiti-style mural inside their taproom during the pre-construction phase—built to anchor the space visually and photograph well in a social-forward environment. Beyond the public-facing artwork, we created branded mural installations within their corporate HQ office, reinforcing identity internally as the company scaled.
The collaboration extended outside the walls. We partnered on a fundraising brand-activation to benefit Institute of Non-Violence Chicago, at the Bank of America Chicago Half Marathon, integrating live art into the high-visibility community event. Eric Harold, Owner / Artist of Headlamp Creative Group also worked with the brand on a sponsored, limited-edition can release—bringing street art into product design and expanding the visual language of the company beyond physical space.
This collaboration is a case study in how murals, brand storytelling, community engagement, and product collaboration can operate together.

FAQ by Hospitality Clients
Q: How much does a restaurant mural cost?
A: Hospitality murals vary widely based on wall size, design complexity, surface prep, and whether it’s interior or exterior. Most projects start with a quick discovery and a photo of the wall to provide an accurate range.
Q: Can you match our brand and interior design?
A: Yes. We can integrate brand assets directly (logos, icons, type) or create a mural that feels aligned with your concept without being overly literal.
Q: Do you work fast enough for opening deadlines?
A: Yes—if we plan early. If you’re close to opening, we can often create a high-impact solution that fits your timeline.
Q: Do you only work in Chicago?
A: We’re Chicago-based and regularly serve Chicagoland. We also take select regional projects across Illinois and Wisconsin when the fit is right.
