A Studio Shaped by Experience

Founded by Southside Chicago native, artist, and owner Eric Harold, Headlamp Creative Group reflects both local blue-collar roots and national street-art, design, and architectural influences. After years living in San Francisco and Austin, TX—where the studio formally took shape in 2019—operations returned to Chicago in 2022, bringing a broader creative perspective back to the Midwest, serving destination projects nationwide.

Before dedicating himself fully to Headlamp Creative Group and creative community philanthropy, Eric spent 15 years in digital marketing, demand generation, and brand consulting, working with global technology companies including Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Microsoft, while also serving as CMO for startups with multiple eight-figure exits. That background continues to shape HCG today: an artist-led creative studio backed by strategic thinking, disciplined project management, and a systems-driven approach to execution.

To date, Headlamp Creative Group has completed hundreds of projects across Chicago, the Midwest, and nationwide. HOW DID WE GET OUR NAME?

Headlamp was inspired by the ultramarathon community— 100-mile, multi-day trail races across the US.
